PAT'S BIG ROAD TRIP WEEK TWO

Pat's Big Road Trip Week Two

hey guys so far we've been to four new places and they are: Perth/Fremantle, Rottnest island, Nambung National Park and Kalbarri which is where we are as I write this blog post.

When we were in Fremantle me and my dad went to a military base/museum and I corrected one of their displays which was of a Lee-metford mk 2 but it said it was a Lee-enfield mk 1 and as a reward I got a free book.

Me getting my book for picking up their mistake
But my favourite was definitely Rottnest island in fact I cried on the boat ride back to Perth :(
but the reason its my favourite is because of the QUOKKAS!!!!

Dad and I having our Quokka Selfie
After we left Perth we went to Nambung National Park and we saw the pinnacles and Dr Chris from the Living room tv show was there filming!!! Mum was like the paparazzi taking photos of him out the car window!
And we saw stromatolites (the first living organisms) on the same day at Lake Thetis :D

The Pinnacles at Nambung NP - I used to watch this 4WD DVD when I was little that had the pinnacles in it

And now where staying a few nights at Kalbari, AND THERE ARE FRIZZING ARMOURED CARS AND AMPHIBIOUS LANDING CRAFT HERE, AND I GOT TO SIT IN THE DRIVERS SEAT AND TURRET POSITIONS OF BOTH OF THEM OH MY FRIZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me on the rusty armoured car at the Murchison Station where we are staying
We also saw sea scorpion foot prints in the rocks at the Window to the World in Kalbarri National Park
The scorpion footprints are near my fingers

On Sunday we move on to Shark Bay, where we will go to Monkey Mia and the most western part of mainland Australia

And so far we've traveled 4,512 kilometres
See you all in 12 weeks :)

  1. What a fantastic time you're having Patrick. I love that you're enjoying new places and learning new things. I can just picture your mum taking photos of Dr Chris!
